EVENT UPDATE:

The process we are following for filing with the EEOC is as follows:

  1. Fill out filing Template Document (Download Below)

  2. We will collect all the forms (we will discuss at the meeting how to do this), so that we can provide them to Legal Council for review.

  3. Legal Council will provide general guidance, as well as specific guidance for some filings.

  4. You will update your filing.

  5. You will print out your filing and sign it (DO NOT FORGET TO SIGN).

  6. Attach any evidence you may have collected (emails, etc).

  7. Mail your filing to the EEOC. The address for those filing in Idaho is included in the Template document.

Please download and review the Template Document before attending the meeting.

If you miss the event, you are still welcome to fill out the Template Document and file on your own. We would still appreciate receiving a copy of your document in order that we ensure you are included with any additional actions our Legal Council may take.

MERF Members,

Anti-discrimination laws require charges to be filed with the EEOC within 180 calendar days of the original discrimination. In our case, the vaccine mandate was announced on September 3rd, so that 180 day deadline is March 2nd. Because this is only a few short days away, we would like to announce that we will be hosting two online zoom meetings to help members with this filing process and make sure we get as much traction as possible in the case.

Anyone who wishes to file a complaint of discrimination with the EEOC is welcome to attend and get help. This could include but is not limited to those falling into the categories below:

  • Employee/Contractor Filed for Religious or Medical Exemption, Put on Unpaid Leave

  • Employee/Contractor Coerced into Vaccination

  • Employee/Contractor chose not to file exemption, Put on Unpaid Leave

  • Employee/Contractor Filed for Religious or Medical Exemption, Accommodated by On or Off Site

    • If you believe you were discriminated against (treated differently, in an unfair way, because of your exemption).

  • Employee/Contractor, did not file, accommodated

More details to come, but please block your calendars for one of the two slots we have on Saturday, Feb 26th.

Saturday, Feb 26th, 10AM - 11:30AM: Zoom Link

Saturday, Feb 26th, 1PM - 3 PM: Zoom Link
